3D Project Introduction
LCG 3D stands for “Distributed Deployment of Databases for LCG”, the project intend to bring service providers (site technology experts) closer to database users/developers, and to define a LCG database service for the upcoming data challenges in 2005.
LCG 3D tries to define distributed database services and application, help to avoid the costly parallel development of data distribution, and enable a distributed deployment of an LCG database infrastructure with a minimal number of LCG database administration personnel.
ASGC is part of service definition and implementation workgroup, and also participate part of CA/Oracle authentication study. Our tasks lists as follow:
- Test Oracle stream between CERN and ASGC had been done by Chi-Wei Wang we followed the document from Oracle, setup the test bed between CERN and ASGC, and implement the tablespace data streams.
- ASGC 3D test bed is setup by Jeng-Hsueh Wu in March 2005, and also join Taiwan 3D test bed in CERN’s EM (Enterprise Manager).
- Oracle Database Cluster has been setup on the HP IA64 and ready for the stream data transfer testing from Tier 0.
